Jack Henry Banking: Delivering Integrated Core Banking Solutions

CIO VendorJack Prim, CEO
In the wake of digitization, the massive transformation in the banking sector has revolutionized the technological convenience of banks and customers. Contrary to the traditional brick and mortar branches, consumers now have multiple channels to interact with banks. At the center of this technological revolution lies core banking solutions that are being rapidly implemented by most banks. However, the availability of these choices increases the competition and pushes toward price transparency, account switching, and customer churn. Banks are adopting novel techniques to revive their strategies to maintain customers’ digital experience and avoid competition from non-bankers who provide more accessible options. Creating a positive drift in this landscape is Jack Henry Banking—a provider of integrated technology platforms for banks to process financial transactions, automate business processes, and manage mission-critical customer and business information. “Our banking solutions encompass functionally distinct core systems that enable banks to execute their business strategies with technology platforms tailored to support unique performance goals,” says Jack Prim, CEO, Jack Henry Banking.

Jack Henry Banking integrates powerful core systems with complementary products and services for automation, a single point of contact, and supporting complex information processing platforms. These core solutions are available with in-house and outsourced delivery options. Jack Henry Banking’s SilverLake System is a robust banking platform that provides customizable, enterprise-wide automation designed for growth- and commercial focused banks. “SilverLake is entrusted by customers ranging from community banks to multi-billion, mid-tier institutions for attracting, serving, and retaining their customers,” asserts Prim. This bank-centric system effectively supports dynamic processing requirements by integrating core functionality with the best-of-suite complementary products and services. To provide open connectivity between Jack Henry Banking’s core and complementary products and third-party niche solutions, SilverLake leverages existing technology investments with jXchange, a services oriented architecture on a .NET platform.

SilverLake maximizes operating flexibility and a bank’s technology investments with its open architecture and scalable hardware platform.

Jack Henry Banking also offers CIF 20/20, which has capabilities similar to SilverLake to enhance the core functionality and enable banks to respond to specific business opportunities. In addition, the company presents Core Director, which is a Windows-based banking platform that supports progressive community banks. Core Director provides intuitive point-and-click operation to ensure ease-of-use, maximize staff efficiency and productivity—expediting initial and ongoing training. The platform also supports unique user preferences and specific functional requirements with flexible browser user interface that can be customized and modified for every system user. “Core Director is much more than a core processing solution—it is a growth strategy,” says Prim.

The company’s banking platforms consist of integrated applications that process deposit, loan, and general ledger transactions, and maintain centralized customer or member information. “We consistently leverage these core and complementary solutions to retain and expand our existing client relationships and earn new core customers,” cites Prim. For instance, Bank of the Panhandle that offers a broad range of deposit products was committed to improve its overall operations. The bank’s former core system couldn’t be fully incorporated with their ancillary products, which generated a demand for a teller platform that would be completely integrated with their core processes. On switching to Jack Henry Banking’s Core Director, the bank could upgrade their teller platform, item and document imaging software, and online banking platform and access system wide information seamlessly while working on one program.

“Our support infrastructure and firm standards provide exceptional service levels,” says Prim. Jack Henry Banking’s core systems are constantly evolving with ongoing client-driven enhancements, regular introduction of new complementary products, integration of practical new technologies, and strict regulatory compliance. “We value the input from our clients about future enhancements and we incorporate functional innovations regularly,” concludes Prim.
